BOLTUS NAMED MLL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

(Hamilton, May 24)… Hamilton Nationals attackman Jeremy Boltus was named the Major League Lacrosse Cascade Rookie of the Week after scoring two goals in the May 19th home opener against the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
Boltus played a role in Hamilton’s third quarter comeback in a 14-10 loss to the Bayhawks. The Nationals netted three straight goals, which included Boltus’ second of the night three minutes into the third to trim the deficit to 9-6. The 21-year-old Baldwinsville, NY, native was the Hamilton Nationals’ eighth-round selection (43rd overall) in the 2011 MLL Collegiate Draft.
Boltus recently completed his college career at West Point in 2011 as the second leading point producer in school history. He also placed 12th in goals and second in assists. He paced Army with a career-high 70 points and a personal-best 46 assists en route to Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year honors. He also led the NCAA with a 3.07 assist per game average and was third in points per game at 4.67.
The Hamilton Nationals travel to play the Rochester Rattlers on Saturday, June 10th at 7:30 p.m. at Sahlen’s Stadium. The game will be shown live on ESPN3.com.
